Job summary

Robinhood is seeking a Software Engineer to join the AI Security team based in Menlo Park or Bellevue. You will help build the foundational AI platform, security primitives, and scalable infrastructure enabling AI-powered security solutions at scale.

You will collaborate with security and engineering teams to embed security into the platform from day one, designing identity, auth, encryption, and data protection controls, and delivering large distributed systems while shaping the team’s

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software development experience.
• 2+ years building large-scale distributed systems with security concepts.
• Experience building AI platforms or AI infrastructure.
• Proficiency in Go or Python with production debugging skills.
• Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, gRPC, or Kafka.
• Strong security fundamentals integrated into production design.
• Experience building reusable platform capabilities, APIs, or libraries.
• Proven ability to deliver large engineering projects with impact.
• Strong technical judgment for security, reliability, scalability, and DX.
• Ability to solve complex problems and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and build a scalable AI platform enabling security teams to deploy AI-powered agents.
• Build foundational platform services, APIs, libraries, and SDKs for AI in security workflows.
• Design secure systems with identity, authentication, authorization, encryption, and data protection.
• Build and operate reliable, large-scale distributed systems for AI-powered security use cases.
• Develop platform capabilities and guardrails for safe AI agent operation.
• Partner with security and engineering teams to translate needs into reusable platform capabilities.
• Improve platform performance, reliability, and security through automation.
• Shape technical direction and architecture of Robinhood’s AI Security platform.
