Job summary

Robinhood is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build a scalable AI Security platform. You will design core services, APIs, and libraries to enable security teams to deploy AI-powered agents with strong identity, authentication, and encryption controls.

You will work across security and engineering teams to create production‑grade distributed systems that safely scale AI capabilities, with in‑person collaboration in Menlo Park or Bellevue at least 3 days/week.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• 3+ years building large-scale distributed systems with security concepts.
• Experience with AI platforms, AI infrastructure, or production AI systems.
• Proficiency in Go or Python and production debugging skills.
• Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, gRPC or Kafka.
• Strong security fundamentals and ability to design secure production systems.
• Experience designing reusable platform capabilities and tooling.
• Proven delivery of large engineering projects with impact.
• Strong judgement on security, reliability, scalability, and DX.
• Ability to collaborate across security and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and build a scalable AI platform for security teams to deploy AI-powered agents.
• Build foundational platform services, APIs, libraries, and SDKs for AI in security workflows.
• Design secure systems with identity, authentication, authorization, encryption, and data protection.
• Build and operate large-scale distributed systems supporting AI-powered security use cases.
• Develop platform guardrails enabling safe AI agent operation.
• Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and engineering teams to translate needs into platform capabilities.
• Identify opportunities to improve performance, reliability, and developer experience through automation.
• Help shape the technical direction of Robinhood’s AI Security platform.
