Job summary

Robinhood is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead the AI Security platform, building core infrastructure and security primitives for AI-powered security capabilities. You will collaborate with security and engineering teams to embed security into the platform from the start, delivering scalable distributed systems and reusable platform capabilities.

The role focuses on identity, authentication, authorization, encryption, and platform safety, with in-person work required at least 3 days per

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience.
• 6+ years building large-scale distributed systems with security concepts.
• Experience building AI platforms, AI infrastructure, or production AI systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and build a scalable AI platform for security teams.
• Build platform services, APIs, libraries, and SDKs for AI in security workflows.
• Design secure systems with identity, authentication, authorization, encryption, and data protection.
• Build and operate large-scale distributed systems for AI-powered security use cases.
• Develop guardrails to safely build and operate AI agents.
• Partner with security, infrastructure, and engineering teams to translate needs into platform capabilities.
• Identify opportunities to improve performance, reliability, security through automation.
• Help shape the technical direction of Robinhood’s AI Security platform.
