Job summary

Robinhood is seeking a Senior Staff Security Engineer to join the Security Engineering org in Bellevue, WA or Menlo Park, CA. You will own and ship end-to-end security systems, including identity infrastructure and AI security, impacting the company at scale.

You will design, implement, and operate production security platforms while collaborating with multi-team stakeholders to raise engineering bar for senior and staff engineers.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software or security engineering experience.
• Experience at the Senior Staff or Principal level.
• Expertise in IAM, authentication, cryptography, cloud security, or infrastructure security.
• Hands-on security of AI infrastructure, LLMs, or AI-adjacent auth/credential management.
• Proficiency in Go and/or Python for backend security platforms.

Responsibilities

• Identify and own high-leverage security problems across the security engineering stack and drive them from concept to production.
• Design and build security systems for AI/agentic infrastructure, including runtime authentication and credential management.
• Build intelligent internal security platforms that improve detection and scale coverage.
• Collaborate with engineering managers and senior tech leads to set priorities and align roadmaps.
• Stay close to production to ensure architectural decisions reflect real-system behavior.
