Job summary

Lambda, The Superintelligence Cloud, invites a Senior Staff Network Engineer to shape the architecture of Lambda's global network. You will supervise end-to-end design, turn-up of large projects, and cross-team collaboration while driving automation and observability across backend, backbone and edge networks.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and implementing large-scale networks.
• Strong understanding of routing protocols and backbone/edge architectures.
• Proven ability to automate network operations and build observability.
• Experience mentoring senior and mid-level engineers.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture of major network areas end-to-end and drive design decisions.
• Lead large networking projects across multiple teams from design through turn-up.
• Author designs and RFCs; set design reviews and coding standards for the team.
• Act as the escalation point for complex production issues across the network.
• Drive automation to reduce manual work and improve scale.
• Collaborate with hardware, platform, and product teams to resolve cross-team questions.
• Evaluate and integrate new network hardware and software with accountability to vendors.
• Mentor engineers and elevate the team’s technical capabilities.
