Job summary

Lambda, The Superintelligence Cloud, is a leader in AI cloud infrastructure, seeking a Senior Staff Network Engineer in Bellevue or San Francisco. You will own major network areas end to end, guide multi-team projects from design to turnover, and serve as the chief escalation point for complex production issues.

The role emphasizes automation and cross-functional collaboration across hardware, platform, and product teams.

Qualifications

• Experience owning the technical direction of a production network.
• Leadership of large, multi-team networking projects from design to delivery.
• Expertise in data center, backbone and internet protocols and technology.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture of major network areas end to end and drive design decisions.
• Lead large networking projects from design through turn-up and completion.
• Write designs and RFCs and set design review standards across the team.
• Be the deep technical escalation point for production problems and software/hardware issues.
• Drive automation to reduce manual operations and improve scale.
• Partner with hardware, platform and product teams to resolve cross-team questions.
• Qualify and integrate new network hardware/software and manage vendor accountability.
• Mentor engineers and raise the bar through design and code reviews.
