Job summary

Lambda seeks a Senior Director of Network Engineering to own the world’s best AI cloud network, leading multiple teams across data center fabrics, backbone, and end-to-end connectivity. You will drive security, performance, and cost management while partnering with product and security leaders to align network efforts with business goals.

You will hire and grow AI-enabled software and network engineers, shaping culture and scale.

Qualifications

• 8+ years designing and operating large-scale networks for cloud infrastructure.
• Experience leading network engineering teams and managing managers
• Deep expertise in data center and cloud networking (BGP, EVPN/VXLAN, Clos fabrics) and SDN

Responsibilities

• Own architecture of Lambda's global network — GPU fabrics, data center fabrics, backbone, and edge.
• Build multi-year roadmaps for network architecture and cloud connectivity.
• Set strategy for internet presence: peering, transit, IX footprint, backbone traffic engineering.
• Own 24/7 global network operations: uptime, latency, and incident response.
• Drive automation-first culture with IaC, declarative config, and automated testing.
