Job summary

Lambda is building the world's best AI cloud. We are seeking a senior networking leader to own the multi-year strategy for our backend GPU fabric, backbone, edge, and related networks. You will set direction, drive standards, and own key customer relationships.

You will lead cross‑team collaboration, mentor engineers, and participate in day‑2 operations and on‑call rotation as you deliver scalable, secure network software and services at Lambda.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in cloud computing, systems engineering, and large‑scale network infrastructure.
• Experience building distributed network systems at scale and SDN services.
• Led production‑scale software services projects and can decompose complex problems.

Responsibilities

• Own multi-year technical strategy for Lambda's networking software roadmap covering backend GPU fabric, frontend networks, backbone and edge.
• Set the technical direction and standards for engineers to design, build and operate against.
• Own high-level technical relationships with enterprise customers and guide mission-critical projects.
• Influence across teams with high quality technical judgment.
• Resolve technical ambiguity spanning network, hardware, platform and product teams.
• Be hands-on – dive into code, network, and customer use cases as needed.
• Drive end-to-end design, vision, and implementation with delivery teams.
• Mentor engineers, perform design reviews, and contribute to hiring.
• Operate what you build including day‑2 operations and on‑call rotation.
• Serve as senior technical voice with largest customers and feed learnings back into roadmap.
• Identify opportunities to delight customers with new products or improvements.
