Job summary

Lambda, The Superintelligence Cloud, is building one of the world’s largest AI training and inference networks. Qualifications

• 8+ years in cloud computing, systems engineering or large-scale network infra.
• Experience designing, building and operating production-scale data center or cloud networks.
• Experience with distributed network systems and Tier 1 SDN services.
• Led through implementation and launch of large production-scale software services projects.
• Decompose complex problems into simple, straight-forward solutions.
• Understand system inter-dependencies and limitations.
• Expert knowledge in performance, scalability and enterprise architecture.
• Experience with cloud provider networking (AWS, GCP, OCI).
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Own multi-year networking software roadmap covering tools, software and services for backend GPU fabric, frontend networks, backbone and edge.
• Set technical direction and standards for engineers to design, build and operate against.
• Manage high-level relationships with enterprise customers for mission-critical projects.
• Influence across teams with high quality technical judgment.
• Resolve cross-organisational technical ambiguity between network, hardware, platform and product teams.
• Be hands-on, dive into code, network and customer use cases when needed.
• Drive end-to-end design and delivery of projects.
• Mentor engineers through design reviews and hiring.
• Operate deployments and participate in on-call rotation for fast feedback.
• Represent senior technical voice with large customers and feed learnings back into roadmap.
• Identify opportunities to improve availability or performance.
