Job summary

ServiceNow in the United States is seeking a Senior/Staff engineer to define and lead the design of agentic systems, including multi-agent orchestration, context management, and tool integration across LangGraph/LangChain. You will own architecture decisions, collaborate with Frontend and Backend teams, and drive performance, streaming, and scalability in a customer-facing platform.

You should bring 8+ years shipping production software, deep expertise with Python async stacks, and full-stack

Qualifications

• 8+ years building production software, with several years specifically shipping LLM-powered / agentic systems (not just API wrapper calls)
• Experience integrating AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving
• Deep, hands-on expertise with LangGraph and/or LangChain
• Strong understanding of MCP — ideally having built an MCP server
• Production async Python (FastAPI, asyncio) — comfortable with WebSockets, streaming, and the failure modes of long-lived stateful connections
• Track record of making architecture decisions on agent systems
• Enough range outside Python to read/modify a Spring Boot service and a React component
• Willingness to work directly with customers in Forward Deployed Engineering

Responsibilities

• Own multi-agent orchestration and tool boundaries across the stack
• Lead development of the Harness and its streaming/UX challenges
• Shape MCP vs Harness strategy and external interoperability
• Define A2A protocol and forward deployments in customer contexts
• Ensure end-to-end fluency across Java, Spring Boot, and React/TypeScript components
