Job summary

ServiceNow (Moveworks) is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer for the Agentic AI Harness & Quality team to advance AI agent technologies at scale. You will implement frontier algorithms, optimize latency, and collaborate with ML engineers, security, product, and customer success to deliver enterprise AI solutions.

You’ll work across agent orchestration, sandboxed execution, and memory management, shaping the platform’s reliability and impact for customers worldwide.

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience designing, building, and improving production systems, ideally at scale.
• Ability to think and communicate clearly about complex engineering problems and systems.
• Comfort giving and receiving feedback, and in holding yourself and your coworkers accountable to a high standard of operational excellence.
• Proficiency in Python, Golang, and/or Java for Mac development environments.
• Desire to ship at a startup pace with a high degree of ownership.
• Attention to detail in code and design.
• Drive to ship product improvements with production-grade code.
• Strong appetite for continuous incremental wins and completing challenging projects fast.
• High level of curiosity about engineering outside of immediate discipline and ongoing desire to learn.

Responsibilities

• Take on exciting and difficult engineering challenges to build and evolve capable AI agent systems that are reliable in every sense of the word.
• Implement frontier AI algorithms and architectures and help productionize them at scale.
• Use the latest advances in machine learning, LLMs, and AI agents to enhance products and create delightful user experiences.
• Contribute to roadmap and help drive the evolution of engineering areas of growing scope and impact to create lasting value for all customers.
• Hone your craft in writing robust, extensible, readable, and performant code.
• Partner with subject matter experts across the company to learn from each other and build the best enterprise AI product the world has ever seen.
• Mentor other engineers on the team in how to build, maintain, and evolve great software.
• Collaborate with machine learning engineers to learn from each other and build world-class AI systems.
