Job summary

Altana is a network for trusted trade with an AI-powered platform. The Engineering team builds scalable platforms, APIs, and workflows to enable data-driven insights across a global customer base. The role involves owning end-to-end technical design, mentoring engineers, and delivering robust, maintainable services in cloud environments.

You will collaborate with product managers, analyze requirements, and drive technical decisions to advance Altana’s mission of secure, resilient global trade.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years writing back end or data-driven software in demanding environments.
• Production code and services in cloud-hosted environments.
• Experience delivering incremental releases from PoC to MVP to production.

Responsibilities

• Ingest requirements and design iterative tech designs to meet goals.
• Collaborate with product manager on implementation plans.
• Maintain, develop, and deploy customer-facing workflows.
• Analyze and propose solutions to enhance product offerings.
• Automate, test, and deploy team work with high quality.
• Review code and designs; mentor team members for skill growth.
• Lead technical decisions and ensure scalable, maintainable solutions.
• Identify gaps and create plans to address them.
• Serve as domain expert for portions of the product surface area.
• Coordinate with team leads to focus on outcomes and sustainable code.
