Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a Senior Staff Electrical Engineer to lead end-to-end hardware development for high-reliability space hardware, from concept through production. The role includes high-speed digital, power electronics, and RF modules with hands-on design and verification.

The ideal candidate has 12+ years in board-level electronics for space/defense, expertise in Altium, and strong cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 12 years of industry or university research experience in board-level electronics design, analysis, and test.
• Direct experience designing high-reliability electronics for space/defense applications with thermal constraints.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design of complex electronics modules and systems from concept to production.
• Lead hardware teams to develop multi-module assemblies and architecture.
• Develop hardware requirements and create detailed schematic and PCB layouts.
• Perform signal integrity and power integrity analysis; guide methodology.
