Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join the Digital and Mixed-Signal Electronics team in a startup-like environment. You will own end-to-end hardware development for complex modules, from concept through production, including digital/mixed-signal RF portions and detailed schematic design.

The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering, 5+ years in board-level electronics for space/defense, strong lab skills, and experience with Altium and high-speed layouts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or higher.
• 5+ years in board-level electronics design, analysis and test.
• Experience with high-reliability space/defense electronics.
• Experience owning design phases, trade studies and parts selection.
• PCB layout capability with HDI for high-speed designs.
• Familiarity with SI/PI simulation tools (e.g., SIwave, Hyperlynx).

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end electronics module design from concept to production.
• Lead digital and mixed-signal portions of RF electronics.
• Create circuits with FPGAs, processors, and microcontrollers.
• Develop bring-up and verification plans for new modules.
• Perform detailed schematic and PCB layout for complex boards.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with software/mechanical teams.
