Job summary

Cribl is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer for its Security Products team. You will architect and build autonomous post‑detection workflows, enrichment layers, and intelligent response orchestration to empower SOCs to operate at machine speed.

With 12+ years in scalable production software, you will lead initiatives in AI SOC, SOAR, and post‑detection automation, leveraging LLMs, embeddings, and graph models. This fully remote role fits a global, remote‑first company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent; 12+ years building scale production software.
• Demonstrated experience leading engineering initiatives and building AI SOC or post-detection automation at scale.
• Experience with LLM orchestration frameworks, embeddings, vector databases, dynamic tool calling, and RAG architectures.
• Design/operate scalable, low-latency distributed systems handling asynchronous events and multi-workflow state machines.
• Understanding of MITRE ATT&CK and security analyst workflows.

Responsibilities

• Architect post-detection workflows including autonomous triage and containment orchestration.
• Build production-grade reasoning systems using LLMs, embeddings, and context graphs.
• Collaborate with Cribl Detect to ingest signals and trigger investigations and responses.
• Explore multi-agent frameworks and natural language SOC interfaces with rapid prototyping.
• Define core abstractions and protocols for agent communication and model accuracy benchmarks.
• Provide safe execution frameworks with transparent reasoning trails and human oversight.
