Job summary

Rula is hiring a Sr. Staff Engineer – Applied AI, Patient to lead the development of AI-powered patient experiences across matching, ranking, recommendations, onboarding, and personalization.

This remote-first role focuses on scale, reliability, and cross-team collaboration with the ML group. The role requires hands-on leadership across the ML lifecycle, including model development, evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement, while balancing engineering pragmatism and product

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software and/or ML engineering experience with production ML systems.
• Proven ability to design, build, deploy, and operate ML models with business impact.
• Experience leading ML initiatives and guiding architectural decisions.

Responsibilities

• Develop production ML models and AI-powered patient experiences.
• Collaborate with the ML team on infrastructure, models, and standards.
• Identify high-leverage Applied AI problems and implement reusable capabilities.
• Partner with Patient Engineering to speed high-quality AI delivery.
