Job summary

Rula is hiring for a senior AI platform lead who owns the AI foundation powering mental healthcare workflows. You will design core AI platforms, set safety and reliability standards, and steer the introduction of advanced AI in a regulated clinical setting.

This deeply hands-on role requires defining system architecture, solving complex engineering challenges, and mentoring teams to build scalable, trustworthy AI solutions inside patient care ecosystems.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 7+ years with public cloud (AWS, GCP, etc.) and 5+ years designing and scaling distributed systems.
• 5+ years of deep experience in Python and at least one backend language (JS/TS/Java/Go).
• 2+ years building AI-powered products at scale with foundation models (OpenAI, Anthropic, Bedrock, Gemini, etc.).
• 2+ years of strong experience in LLM integration patterns (RAG, function calling, agents, memory routing) or AI orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, DSPy, Haystack).
• 3+ years working with MLOps, data pipelines, evaluation, and observability for continuous model improvement.
