Job summary

Rula is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join the Patient Onboarding team, owning the journey from first interaction through registration and care setup. You’ll be a hands‑on technical leader, writing code while guiding work across product areas and setting engineering direction.

Our collaborative team works with Product, Design, and Analytics to improve the patient experience and scale AI‑enabled development practices that connect more people to care.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience at staff level or leading complex initiatives.
• Strong full-stack experience building production web apps with frontend, backend, data modeling and distributed systems.
• Led technically complex projects from problem definition through design, implementation, launch and support.
• Experience on onboarding, checkout, registration, eligibility, payments, or other conversion workflows.
• Influenced technical direction across functions and teams with clear tradeoffs.
• Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code.
