Job summary

Rula, a remote-first mental health tech company, seeks an Engineering Manager for AI/ML to lead an AI-native team of Senior and Staff engineers. You will guide rapid delivery of user-facing features like transcript summarization and search relevance, while architecting core AI infrastructure and observability platforms.

You will balance execution speed with rigorous clinical safety, privacy, and compliance, mentoring engineers and elevating the team’s impact across production releases.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering and ML experience.
• 3+ years of engineering management experience.
• 3+ years leading ML infrastructure (feature stores, pipelines, observability).
• 2+ years directing production AI features including LLMs, search, and relevance.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high-performing AI-native team of Senior and Staff engineers.
• Deliver user-facing features such as transcript summarization and search relevance.
• Architect core AI infrastructure including feature store and AI observability platform.
• Ensure scalable, safe AI solutions with a strong emphasis on privacy and compliance.
