Job summary

Fingerprint is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer for a fully remote, full-time position. The role emphasizes measurable reliability, incident leadership, and building AI-assisted operational practices across eight engineering groups.

Visa sponsorship is unavailable, and you must be authorized to work from your location. You report to the VP of Engineering and will work with Cloud Platform and Architect teams to raise the operational bar.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering experience, with 3+ years in SRE or reliability-focused roles.
• Experience designing SLI/SLOs and error budgets adopted by product teams.
• Proven incident leadership with postmortem improvements.
• Hands-on depth in distributed systems and modern observability tooling.

Responsibilities

• Set reliability measures for key request paths and use error budgets to balance uptime with feature delivery.
• Improve incident detection, response, postmortems, and learning to prevent repeat failures.
• Review launches for readiness and introduce staged failure testing.
• Coach teams on on-call, runbooks, and production-readiness practices.
• Build tooling, dashboards, and AI-assisted practices to help diagnose systems.
