Job summary

Highrise AI is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join the AI Infrastructure Service Operations team. You will help ensure reliability across networking, compute, and storage for large-scale AI workloads, with on-call responsibilities.

You will implement automation, drive capacity planning, and collaborate with customers and internal teams to resolve incidents and improve performance in a hybrid/remote environment.

Qualifications

• College diploma or university degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, and/or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years operating compute, networking, storage at scale in 24x7 environments.
• 5+ years hands-on experience with production compute technologies.
• Experience supporting OpenStack or similar private cloud.
• Strong networking fundamentals: VLANs, VXLAN, OSPF, BGP, NSX or similar.
• Automation scripting experience; IaC tools considered a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Manage compute, storage, and network resource pools to meet SLA commitments for multi-tenant workloads.
• Perform capacity planning, performance analysis, and lifecycle management including patching, upgrades, and firmware management.
• Automate provisioning, configuration, and impact mitigation using industry-standard tools.
• Respond to service impacts during business hours and as part of a shared on-call rotation.
• Lead incident management and drive impact prevention actions.
• Create documentation, standards, and runbooks for your focus area and provide training to operations teams.
• Serve as senior escalation point (L3) for incidents and drive disaster recovery testing.
• Work with customers to understand use cases and drive reliability and performance.
