Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is hiring for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer in Cambridge, MA. You will perform site reliability duties to ensure performance, reliability and security for our platforms; deploy and operate scalable, highly available, and fault tolerant systems.

Telecommuting is permitted from anywhere within the United States. The role requires a Master’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience, with skills in Java, Perl, Python, HTTP, TCP/IP, TLS/SSL, Linux/Unix, and distributed

Qualifications

Master's degree in a related field and 2 years of experience.
Experience with Java, Perl, and Python.
Knowledge of HTTP, TCP/IP, TLS/SSL.
Experience with Linux/Unix
Experience with debugging software.
Experience with large-scale distributed systems.

Responsibilities

Perform site reliability engineering duties to ensure performance, reliability and security.
Deploy and operate scalable, highly available, and fault tolerant systems.
Analyze and improve security, stability, speed, and capacity of the network.
Automate new cloud service deployments.
Monitor and troubleshoot cloud services to meet SLA and capacity needs.
Analyze logs and events to provide operational recommendations.
Work within large-scale cloud-based infrastructure and resolve infrastructure issues.
