Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Software Engineer — SRE to own the reliability posture of a domain across store technology platforms. You will design alerting strategies, own SLO health, and lead incident response for production issues, mentoring teams to improve reliability and reduce toil.

You will partner with engineering domain owners to bake reliability into design, manage fault injection, and drive postmortems, MLO-enabled anomaly detection, and domain-wide observability initiatives across

Qualifications

• 5+ years of SRE, DevOps, or platform engineering in production systems.
• Experience operating cloud-native distributed systems at production scale with on-call responsibilities.
• Strong on-call leadership as incident commander for P0/P1 incidents.
• Proficient in programming with Python, Go, or Java for operational tooling.
• Experience designing SLIs/SLOs and managing error budgets.

Responsibilities

• Own SLI/SLO health and alerting strategy for your domain.
• Lead incident command during production issues and drive postmortems.
• Design fault-injection experiments and validate blast radius.
• Mentor engineers on SRE craft and reliability practices.
• Build self-service observability dashboards and promote DevX improvements.
