CVS Health is seeking a Staff Software Engineer - SRE to lead across observability, incident management, and AI-enabled detection. You will shape the reliability program, drive cross-domain standards, and own the tools that reduce toil and improve deployment safety at scale.

This role demands strategic influence and hands-on architectural excellence in a large hybrid environment. You will partner with engineering leaders to implement SRE best practices, govern CI/CD gates, and foster developer

Qualifications

8+ years in SRE, platform engineering, or production systems with demonstrated program-level ownership.
End-to-end ownership of at least one major SRE program at organizational scale.
LLM integration for operational use cases in production contexts.
TIC (Technical Incident Commander) certification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Architect the observability platform strategy end-to-end across domains and fleets.
Define the org-wide reliability signal framework and map to business outcomes.
Drive SLI/SLO standardization and complete CUJ coverage across engineering domains.
Design and own AI-enabled detection pipeline and incident triage acceleration.
Lead PRR framework, automated policy enforcement, and eligibility gates.
Own incident response and recovery processes including on-call model and runbooks.
Develop DevX tooling and self-service reliability patterns for teams.
