Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - SRE to own the reliability posture of an engineering domain. You will design alerting, own SLO health, lead incident command for production issues, and drive postmortems with a focus on automations and reducing toil.

You will mentor engineers, diagnose complex distributed failures, and align reliability with domain owners. The role includes edge deployments in store environments and cross-team collaboration across CVS platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in SRE/DevOps or related roles.
• Experience as on-call Incident Commander for P1/P2 incidents.
• Strong programming in Python, Go, or Java; production tooling.

Responsibilities

• Own SLI/SLO health end-to-end for assigned domain.
• Lead incident command for production issues and postmortems.
• Design multi-signal alerting strategies and ML-based anomaly detection.
• Build dashboards for end-to-end business flow health.
• Mentor SE-level engineers in SRE practices.
