Job summary

East West Bank is seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator (DBA) to support and manage the Bank's enterprise database platforms across on-premises and cloud environments. The DBA ensures availability, security, performance, integrity, and recoverability of mission-critical systems while collaborating with development, cybersecurity, architecture, and business teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience administering Microsoft SQL Server environments.
• Strong experience with SQL Server 2022 and 2025; performance tuning, backup/recovery, high availability, security, and auditing.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation; ability to create runbooks and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server environments across DEV, TEST, DR, and PROD.
• Manage availability, performance, capacity, and health of database platforms.
• Monitor and troubleshoot database, OS, and application performance issues.
• Administer Always On, clustering, replication, and other high-availability technologies.
• Support patching, upgrades, migrations, and lifecycle management.
• Ensure standards, baselines, and operational procedures are followed.
• Collaborate with developers, security, and IT teams; mentor junior DBAs.
