Job summary

Lone Star National Bank is seeking a qualified Database Administrator to support and maintain its enterprise data ecosystem across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of database administration experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL, and related platforms. Responsibilities include performance tuning, backups, security, and data migrations in a banking context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on database administration experience.
• Experience with on-prem and Azure cloud database platforms.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server and other databases.
• Monitor performance, availability, and storage usage across hybrid environments.
• Develop and maintain maintenance plans, backups, and integrity checks.
• Troubleshoot incidents, outages, and performance issues; perform recovery testing.
• Manage access with RBAC and enforce security policies.
• Collaborate on upgrades, data migrations, and tooling to improve security posture.
