Job summary

Tech Mahindra is seeking a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) in US-based operations to maintain SQL Server databases, ensure high availability, and support development teams with performance tuning. The role emphasizes strong SSMS proficiency, security, and disaster recovery planning.

The candidate should bring 5–7 years of DBA experience, a solid understanding of backup/recovery, and the ability to work with on-premise and cloud databases (Azure SQL).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of database administration experience.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server and SSMS.
• Experience with backup/restore and DR strategies.
• Ability to design, tune, and optimize database performance.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and optimize SQL Server databases for high availability.
• Use SSMS for design, development, and management tasks.
• Monitor performance and implement tuning strategies.
• Perform backups, restores, and disaster recovery operations.
• Implement data security measures and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with development teams to meet business needs.
• Conduct migrations and upgrades with minimal downtime.
