Job summary

Synergy ECP is seeking an experienced SQL Server DBA to support applications across on‑prem and cloud environments. The role focuses on patching, backups, restores, and performance tuning within a small, dedicated team.

You will manage SQL Server processes, run daily reviews of logs, and automate tasks to improve reliability and efficiency. The ideal candidate has deep MS SQL Server expertise, Windows Server skills, and DoD 8570 IAT1 readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline required.
• 10 years DBA experience in similar scope; 4 years may substitute for degree.
• Hands-on with MS SQL Server, backups, restores, and clustering; DoD 8570 IAT1 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and maintain MS SQL Server databases across networks.
• Patch, update, and automate DBA processes; document procedures.
• Perform database backup, verification, and restore operations.
• Review Windows and SQL Server logs daily; support security tasks.
• Create and manage SQL Server Agent jobs; ensure failover readiness.
