Job summary

Fuze Health Inc. is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to lead the modernization of our hospice database infrastructure across AWS.

You will guide migrations from SQL Server on EC2 to AWS RDS, upgrade strategies, and the modernization of SSIS/SSRS workloads while ensuring cost efficiency and security. You will mentor the Hospice DBA team, implement cloud best practices, and establish robust monitoring and DR capabilities using Datadog and CloudWatch.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in database administration.
• Deep expertise with Microsoft SQL Server (2016+) performance tuning, high availability, disaster recovery.
• Hands‑on experience with SQL Server migrations and upgrades including end‑of‑support migrations.
• Strong hands‑on experience with SSIS and SSRS.
• Experience with AWS RDS, DMS, Glue and/or modernizing ETL in AWS.
• Experience with Terraform for database infra management.
• Experience with monitoring tools (Datadog, CloudWatch).
• Experience with HITRUST compliance and Windows Server administration.

Responsibilities

• Lead SQL Server modernization on EC2 and migrations to AWS RDS.
• Migrate and maintain SSIS ETL packages and SSRS reports, potentially re-platforming to AWS services.
• Drive database cost optimization and right‑size instances and licensing.
• Upskill Hospice SQL DBA team on AWS database operations and cloud best practices.
• Establish cloud‑native database monitoring and performance baselines.
• Design automated backup, restore, and disaster recovery processes in AWS.
