Job summary

LEARFIELD is seeking a strategic, results-oriented sponsorship sales professional to lead high-value accounts and drive revenue growth in a fast-paced environment. You will manage a diverse sponsor portfolio, oversee campaigns, and shape renewal strategy while pursuing new business development.

You will close deals from pitch to close, collaborate with university stakeholders, and mentor junior sellers, representing LEARFIELD at events and meetings.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of outside, consultative, or B2B sales experience.
• Proven ability to develop new business and manage client relationships.
• Experience managing a book of business and exceeding revenue goals.
• Strong marketing strategy skills tailored to client needs.
• Advanced negotiation skills influencing senior decision makers.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Comfort navigating CRM systems and a performance-driven environment.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends for game days and events.

Responsibilities

• Meet and exceed revenue goals through new business and renewals.
• Own full sales cycle: prospecting, proposals, negotiations, closing, and post-sale.
• Meet clients at their locations to present sponsorships and secure partnerships.
• Manage a defined book of business including high-value accounts.
• Develop integrated sponsorship proposals across digital, social, broadcast, and events.
• Lead renewal planning and grow existing partnerships with sales leadership.
• Build relationships with university partners, athletic staff, and partners.
• Coordinate with internal teams for campaign execution and fulfillment.
• Mentor junior sellers and support local leadership.
• Represent the property at client meetings and events, including evenings/weekends.
• Stay informed on industry trends and sponsorship best practices.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
