Flagstar Bank is seeking a Senior Relationship Manager - Sponsor to build and manage commercial loan relationships within the sponsor sector nationwide. You will originate, structure, price, underwrite, and close loans while coordinating with credit, underwriting, and operations teams.

The role requires extensive sponsor finance experience, 10+ years as a Relationship Manager, and strong negotiation and communication skills. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Education: High School or equivalent required.
• Undergraduate degree in business or finance preferred.
• 10+ years of experience as a Relationship Manager.
• Experience specific to sponsor finance required.
• 5+ years of experience in commercial lending credit.
• Advanced negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel.

Responsabilités

• Originate and close new sponsor-related loans and maintain direct deal flow.
• Manage and grow commercial loan relationships with sponsors and borrowers.
• Coordinate with product specialists, portfolio managers, credit, underwriting, and operations.
• Monitor portfolio quality and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
• Lead negotiations, structuring, pricing, underwriting, and closing of loans.
• Travel as needed.
