Flagstar Bank is seeking a Senior Relationship Manager for the Middle Market group focused on Detroit/Southeast Michigan. You will develop new business, manage complex sponsor and borrower relationships, and coordinate with product specialists to optimize revenue and risk across a diversified portfolio.

The role emphasizes leadership, cross-sell of treasury and credit products, and a deep understanding of underwriting standards as you drive profitable growth for the regional team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required; formal credit training preferred.
• Minimum 10+ years of commercial lending or related experience with established origination track record.
• Strong negotiation, structuring and closing of complex loans.

Responsibilities

• Originate new business by developing and maintaining relationships to generate direct deal flow.
• Manage relationships with sponsors and borrowers and coordinate with team to close deals.
• Partner with regional leadership to create strategic plans and forecast results based on pipelines.
• Monitor credit quality with portfolio managers and ensure timely financial statement gathering and compliance actions.
• Stay informed about industry trends and market conditions impacting the Group and clients.
