Job summary

Encompass Health is seeking a Senior Speech Language Pathologist to lead our team in delivering compassionate, personalized care for patients with speech and communication challenges.

You will mentor colleagues, supervise SLP staff and assistants, and contribute to a supportive, technology-enabled rehabilitation environment. We offer day-one benefits and a nationwide, inclusive culture at over 150 locations.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure in Speech Therapy.
• CCC certification required.
• CPR/BLS certified or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of two years speech language pathology experience.
• Active on Therapy Clinical Ladder or specialty professional certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients and build rewarding relationships by understanding each patient's physical, mental, and emotional needs to aid in their recovery.
• Assist with speech language in-service education and our speech language pathologist student program.
• Mentor and train new colleagues and other departments as needed.
• Delegate and supervise speech therapy assistants and technicians.
• Celebrate patient victories along the way.
