Job summary

Encompass Health Corporation is seeking a Senior Speech Language Pathologist to lead patient care within our national inpatient rehabilitation network. You will guide a clinical team, deliver personalized therapy, and drive outcomes that support recovery and quality of life.

You will mentor colleagues, support in-service education, supervise therapy assistants, and contribute to a culture of compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Current licensure or certification required by state regulations.
• Successful completion of SLP Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC).
• CPR certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Bachelor's degree in speech therapy or management; Master's/Doctorate degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years speech language pathology experience.
• Active on Therapy Clinical Ladder or specialty professional certifications.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct care to patients and building rewarding relationships by understanding each patient's physical, mental, and emotional needs to aid in their recovery.
• Assisting with speech language in-service education and our speech language pathologist student program.
• Mentoring and training new colleagues and other departments as needed.
• Delegating and supervising speech therapy assistants and technicians.
• Celebrating patient victories along the way.
