Job summary

Qualifications

• Estimating experience with automated estimating systems.
• Accurately assess damage on RVs and commercial vehicles.
• Hands-on training in a repair facility or training center for Specialty Vehicles.
• Strong organization, time management, and deadline adherence.
• Solid knowledge of claims policies and procedures.
• Effective communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• Understanding of repair/replacement of property damages including mechanical components.
• Ability to identify, investigate, and conclude coverage investigations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Handle complex material damage claims with little supervision.
• Conduct training in specialty vehicle material damage handling and appraising.
• Serve as SME for Specialty Vehicle material damage for staff and vendors.
• Maintain knowledge of National General Specialty Vehicle policies.
• Review photos and determine repairability, valuation, and total loss if needed.
• Evaluate settlements per regulatory compliance and fair claims practices.
• Identify subrogation or fraud potential and refer as needed.
• Communicate with customers about repair processes and settlements.
• Complete accurate estimates up to $300,000 and handle larger estimates as needed.
• Participate in CAT events and travel for field audits and training.
• Perform file quality reviews of appraisal channels.
