Job summary

Busey is seeking a dedicated Special Assets Commercial Underwriter in the Kansas City area to support Relationship Managers by providing accurate underwriting for the Special Assets portfolio. You will analyze cash flow, liquidity, profitability and leverage to assess risk and prepare concise credit requests.

The role requires 5+ years in commercial credit, 2+ years in underwriting, and a Bachelor’s in Business or Finance.

Qualifications

• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of financial accounting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial statements and ratios (DSCR/FCC) per guidelines.
• Evaluate data to assess risk of existing obligations to borrowers.
• Prepare CCAR memos with risk and borrower strengths/weaknesses.
