The Special Assets Commercial Underwriter II at Busey Bank provides accurate, timely, and succinct credit underwriting to support portfolio management and new business development for the Relationship Managers they are assigned to support. Key duties include financial statement analysis, cash flow assessment, preparing CCAR memos, collateral evaluation, and monitoring portfolio risk.

Requires a Bachelor's in Business/Finance, 5+ years Commercial Credit, and 2+ years as an Underwriter.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or Finance required.
• 5+ years of Commercial Credit experience required.
• 2+ years in Commercial Underwriter role required.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Spread and analyze financial statements per guidelines.
• Assess cash flow, liquidity, profitability, and leverage to minimize risk.
• Prepare CCAR memos with loan risk assessment.
• Evaluate collateral and other credit information.
• Assist portfolio management and monitoring reports.
• Support Relationship Managers on opportunities.
• Assist with sales calls and pipeline meetings.
• Approve loans within authority levels; participate in pipeline meetings.
