Job summary

Blue Origin in Renton, WA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer III to own the air and water treatment manufacturing scope for the MK2 ECLS team, turning bench concepts into AS9100-compliant production and partnering with chemists and engineers to ensure producible designs.

You will drive PRRs, assess MRLs/PRLs, document work instructions, support DFM/DFA, lead root-cause analysis, and mentor others while upholding safety, quality, and efficiency across production lines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Chemical, Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or process engineering role.
• Experience in AS9100 or ISO 9001 manufacturing environments.
• 3+ years creating English work instructions.
• U.S. citizen or eligible immigrant for employment.

Responsibilities

• Mature chemical/sorbent processes from development to qualified, repeatable production.
• Plan PRRs and assess Manufacturing Readiness Levels (MRLs) and PRLs for designs.
• Maintain standard manufacturing docs, work instructions, and inspection plans.
• Provide DFM/DFA support to influence producibility early in design.
• Lead root cause analysis of non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
• Mentor and guide other engineers and technicians.
