Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a Manufacturing Engineer III to join the Operations team at Renton, WA. You will lead design and implementation of efficient manufacturing systems, ensure quality control, and optimize supply chain logistics for Production/Operations.

As part of the MK2 ECLS team, you will own manufacturing scope for air and water treatment elements, partnering with chemists and engineers to move from bench to qualified, AS9100-compliant production.

Qualifications

• BS in an engineering field from an accredited university.
• 5+ years in manufacturing/industrial/process engineering.
• Experience maturing a process from development to production.
• Experience in AS9100 or ISO 9001 environments.
• 3+ years creating English work instructions.
• Ability to identify and resolve manufacturing risks and drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Mature chemical/sorbent processes from development to qualified production.
• Plan PRRs and assess MRLs/PRLs as designs move to first build.
• Proactively identify and resolve manufacturing risks; drive improvements.
• Create and maintain work instructions, process flow diagrams, and inspection plans.
• Provide DFM/DFA support with program engineers to improve producibility.
• Ensure work aligns with AS9100/ISO 9001 quality and safety standards.
• Own the quality and non-conformance loop; lead root-cause actions.
• Participate in FMEAs, risk assessments, and validation of new lines.
• Gain deep expertise in chemical/sorbent processes.
