Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer III for its Operations team in Renton, WA. The role leads design and implementation of efficient manufacturing systems, ensures quality control, and optimizes supply chain logistics for Production/Operations.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering from an accredited university.
• 5+ years in manufacturing, industrial, or process engineering.
• Experience maturing a process from development to production.
• Experience in AS9100/ISO 9001 manufacturing environments.
• At least 3 years creating English work instructions.
• U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Mature chemical/sorbent processes from concept to qualified production.
• Plan PRRs and assess MRLs/PRLs as designs move to first build.
• Identify and resolve manufacturing risks; drive improvements.
• Create and maintain manufacturing docs and instructions.
• Provide DFM/DFA support with design and program teams.
• Ensure work aligns with AS9100/ISO 9001 quality standards.
• Own non-conformance and drive corrective actions.
• Lead root cause analysis for process/product issues.
• Participate in process FMEAs and risk assessments.
• Grow expertise in chemical/sorbent processes for ECLS.
• Identify efficiency gains and cost-reduction opportunities.
