Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support the Kent, WA facility, bridging production with design engineering on complex reusable rocket engine systems. The role emphasizes hands-on support, rapid issue resolution, and continuous improvement across manufacturing processes.

You will collaborate with design teams to implement ECRs and improve manufacturability while maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience with complex electrical aerospace or space hardware.
  • Experience operating, diagnosing, and dispositioning non-conforming electrical hardware, harnesses, software, and/or firmware.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems (high-speed digital, analog, mixed-signal).
  • Embedded command and I/O systems for complex industrial or vehicle applications.
  • Experience with DFMA principles in design development.
  • Excellent communication, organization and project management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on support to a fast-paced production environment.
  • Lead troubleshooting and dispositioning of non-conforming avionics hardware, software, firmware, and electrical systems.
  • Drive isolation, containment, and resolution of NC parts and assemblies.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions to prevent recurrence of issues.
  • Support design and operational gated reviews with required technical artifacts.
  • Collaborate on ECRs to improve manufacturability and reduce non-conformances.
  • Partner with design teams early to improve DFMA prior to design release.
