Job summary

Blue Origin in Renton, WA, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer III to lead the design and implementation of efficient manufacturing systems within Production/Operations. You will own the air and water treatment manufacturing scope for ECLS, collaborate with chemists and engineers, and drive producibility and quality per AS9100/ISO 9001.

Onsite, Mon-Fri; relocation available. The role emphasizes process maturation, risk management, DFMA support, and cost reduction to sustain Blue Origin's

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in an engineering field from an accredited university.
• Minimum 5 years in manufacturing/industrial/process engineering.
• Experience in AS9100 or ISO 9001 manufacturing environments.
• Experience creating English work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Mature processes from development to qualified, repeatable production.
• Plan PRRs and assess MRLs/PRLs as designs move to first build.
• Identify and resolve manufacturing risks and drive improvements.
• Maintain manufacturing documentation and work instructions.
• Provide DFM/DFA support to influence producibility early.
• Ensure quality standards (AS9100, ISO 9001) are met.
• Own non-conformance loop and lead root-cause analysis.
• Participate in FMEAs, risk assessments, and equipment validation.
• Develop expertise in chemical/sorbent processes for ECLS.
• Identify opportunities for efficiency gains and cost reduction.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Chemical, Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
