Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an early-career engineer to support the development of spacecraft thermal hardware and systems in Denver. You will assist with thermal analysis, design activities, testing support, and hardware integration, learning from experienced engineers.

You will contribute to both passive and active thermal control systems while developing hands-on skills. The role emphasizes collaboration, safety, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in mechanical, aerospace, or related engineering discipline.
  • Will have earned their degree within the last year and able to start by Fall 2027.
  • Coursework or project experience in thermodynamics, heat transfer, or fluid mechanics.
  • Familiarity with CAD software (Creo, SolidWorks, NX, or similar).
  • Basic understanding of engineering fundamentals and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Support design, fabrication, and testing of thermal control hardware.
  • Assist with thermal analysis using hand calculations and analysis software.
  • Support integration and test activities for thermal hardware.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation including drawings, specifications, and test procedures.
  • Participate in design reviews and technical discussions.
  • Contribute to hardware assembly and testing efforts.
  • Learn and apply thermal engineering principles to spacecraft applications.
