Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Thermal Engineer to contribute to spacecraft thermal control systems within the ACE organization. You will develop system- and component-level transient thermal analyses, collaborate with design engineers, and help define innovative, affordable solutions for ground, launch, and orbital environments.

Bring a BS or MS in mechanical or aerospace engineering and 8+ years of Thermal Desktop/Sinda-Fluint experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering is required.
• Solid understanding of thermal fundamentals.
• Demonstrated thermal analysis skills with Thermal Desktop/Sinda-Fluint.
• Experience in system-level transient thermal analysis.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop system-level thermal analysis models of spacecraft with varying maturity and detail.
• Anchor predictions to test data.
• Collaborate with multiple teams as customer and provider of thermal data.
• Document work for future reference and refinement.
• Advocate methods to improve analysis performance and reliability.
