Job summary

Blue Origin seeks system/thermal analysts to advance spacecraft thermal control for ground, orbital, cis-lunar missions. You’ll build system-level models, validate against test data, and document results, collaborating with design and test teams in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a BS in mechanical or aerospace engineering and 8+ years in thermal engineering with Thermal Desktop, plus strong fundamentals and communication skills; MS preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in mechanical or aerospace engineering required.
• 8+ years of thermal engineering/analysis experience with Thermal Desktop.
• Solid understanding of thermal fundamentals.
• Demonstrated thermal analysis skills.
• Familiarity with Thermal Desktop and Sinda/Fluint, including model validation and test correlation.

Responsibilities

• Develop system-level thermal analysis models of spacecraft with varying maturity.
• Anchor thermal predictions to test data.
• Collaborate clearly with multiple teams as customer and provider of thermal data.
• Document work for future reference and refinement.
• Advocate methods to improve component and analysis performance and reliability.
