Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced aerospace structural loads engineer to lead CLA development and FE model work. You will develop and validate physics-based analyses, apply FEM methods, and communicate results to internal and external customers.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in launch vehicle loads, strong NASTRAN/MATLAB skills, and a proven ability to solve static and dynamic problems with high credibility and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering.
• Experience with structural loads analysis for aerospace vehicles (hand calculations and FEM).
• Proficiency with NASTRAN and MATLAB; ability to develop and validate models.

Responsibilities

• Launch vehicle Coupled Loads Analysis (CLA) development and execution across disciplines.
• Documentation and communication of CLA results for customers.
• FE Model development/refinement and validation against tests.
• FE Model reduction using Component Modal Synthesis (Craig-Bampton).
• Development of mathematical models and simulations for loads analysis.
• Managing large datasets, post-processing for engineering applications.
• Perform other related loads tasks as required.
