Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a skilled structural loads engineer to develop primary and secondary spacecraft loads. You will collaborate with design teams to communicate data, develop finite element models, and verify loads for ground and flight environments across multiple programs.

The role expects 8+ years of experience in mechanical/ aerospace structural analysis, familiarity with vibroacoustic methods, and proficiency in major FEM tools. U.S.

Qualifications

• BS in mechanical, aerospace, or civil engineering required.
• 8+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Solve static and dynamic structural problems using physics-based methods.
• Experience with vibroacoustic analysis and FEM modeling.
• Experience with Craig-Bampton models.

Responsibilities

• Develop primary and secondary structure loads for spacecraft
• Convey loads and environment data to design counterparts
• Mentor teammates and share knowledge across programs
• Develop FE models and correlate to test data
• Model, simulate, and verify loads for ground and flight regimes
• Support load environments (vibration/shock) requirements and verification
• Measure and interpret ground/flight test dynamic data
• Maintain loads data books and manage large datasets
