Job summary

Galapagos Federal Systems, LLC seeks an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to support US Space Force programs, including OTTI IPO and Space Systems Command activities. The role focuses on requirements development, CONOPS, and system integration across RDT&E, acquisition, and fielding phases.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in DoD systems engineering, space systems, and test infrastructure, with TS clearance eligibility and on-site availability. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• 10+ years of DoD systems engineering/RDT&E experience.
• Experience with SPOs/PMOs and system delivery to SPOs/PMOs.
• Experience with RDT&E and test and training materiel systems.
• Experience with deployment, integration, operation, and sustainment of space test and training materiel systems.
• Strong SE principles and DoDAF/JCIDS familiarity.
• Experience with space system architectures, EO/IR/RF sensors, GNC, or space data comms.
• Willingness to work on-site full-time and travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Conduct feasibility studies and concept exploration for system solutions.
• Perform DRM engineering and system analysis.
• Develop CONOPS to support mission requirements.
• Manage system requirements, ICDs, verification plans, and validation activities.
• Assess impacts to requirements, interfaces, and program objectives.
• Align PPBE activities with technical efforts.
• Support RDT&E, integration, fielding, and sustainment.
• Collaborate with government and program stakeholders to deliver solutions.
