Job summary

Galapagos Federal Systems, LLC seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to support USSF OTTI IPO and Space Systems Command System Delta 81. The role entails developing, integrating, and sustaining advanced test and training capabilities for space operations.

The ideal candidate has a TS clearance with SCI eligibility and 10+ years in DoD systems engineering, RDT&E, or related programs, with experience in space test and training materiel systems. On-site work is required with up to 25% travel.

Qualifications

Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
10+ years of DoD experience in systems engineering, RDT&E, acquisition, or related programs.
Experience supporting SPOs/PMOs or system/capability delivery to SPOs/PMOs.
Demonstrated experience with RDT&E and test and training materiel systems.
Experience with deployment, integration, operation, and sustainment of space test and training materiel systems.
Strong knowledge and application of SE principles and DoD processes for RDT&E, integration, and fielding.
Experience with Cameo Systems Modeler and SysML.
Working knowledge of JCIDS and DoDAF processes and artifacts.
Experience across space technology disciplines (architectures, EO/IR, RF sensors, GNC, etc.).
Ability to work on-site full-time and travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

Conduct feasibility studies and concept exploration to evaluate system and capability solutions.
Perform DRM engineering and supporting system analysis.
Develop and refine CONOPS to support mission and operational requirements.
Develop and manage system requirements, ICDs, verification plans, system validation activities, and operational support requirements.
Perform change management and technical analysis to assess impacts to system requirements, interfaces, and program objectives.
Align PPBE activities with technical efforts supporting OTTI.
Support SE activities throughout RDT&E, integration, fielding, and sustainment.
Collaborate with government, engineering, acquisition, and program stakeholders to deliver system and capability.
